Where do I park?

Downtown Springfield has ample parking. Let us help you, we’ve scoped out the best options:

    • Closest free garages:
      • McDaniel & Campbell – 3-minute walk, easy in/easy out
      • Campbell & Olive – also free, also close
    • Free lot: Corner of Boonville & Olive
    • Street parking: Downtown meters are long gone, so look for free curb spots (and check the signs just to be safe)

If the taco gods are smiling on you, you might land one of the golden parking spaces literally right outside our front door.

Do you accommodate food allergies?

We sure try our best! While we aren’t a certified allergy-free kitchen, most of our menu can be adjusted to avoid common allergens.

  • Gluten-sensitive? You’re in luck—most of our menu is gluten-free, including our house-fried chips and crunchy shells. The only exception? Our flour tortillas.
  • Dairy-free, nut-free, or other allergies? Just let us know when you order. We’ll give it a solid once-over and help you pick your safest (and tastiest) options.

We can’t make guarantees due to shared equipment, but our team takes it seriously—no eye rolls, no guessing games. Just good tacos, made with care.

Do you have vegetarian or vegan options?

We do—and they’re not just afterthoughts.

Our Fu Yu taco is vegan by default (hello, tofu + mango habanero slaw + spicy crema), and we’ve got black beans, veggies, and build-your-own combos that’ll make your meat-eating friends give your plate the side-eye.

Want to go full vegan? Just let us know—our crew can help you customize without dairy, meat, or mystery ingredients. No eye rolls. No bland bites. Just tacos that slap—plant-based or not.

What are your hours?

We keep it simple:

    • Tuesday–Thursday: 11am–9pm
    • Friday & Saturday: 11am–12:30am (yep, we’re your late-night taco hookup)
    • Sunday & Monday: Closed—everyone needs a break, even our tortillas.

Pro tip: Late-night Fridays and Saturdays hit different. Roll in after the bar, post-show, or whenever that “I need tacos immediately” moment strikes. We’ll be here—shells frying, salsa ready.

Do you do takeout?

Absolutely. Sometimes you want tacos in your mouth, not a seat at a table—we respect that.

Just come in and order like usual—we’ll box it up hot and fast. You can also call ahead if you’re in a rush, we accept online ordering!

And yes, everything travels well. Our tacos have been known to survive cross-town trips, couch dinners, and even backseat car feasts. Just try not to eat all the chips on the way home. (No judgment if you do.)

Do you offer catering or a food truck for events?

We sure do. And let’s be honest—parties are just better with tacos.

Whether you’re throwing a wedding, hosting a company lunch, or planning a backyard bash, we’ve got you. Our food truck  rolls up ready to serve, or we can prep large to-go orders if you want to keep it simple. Either way, we bring the flavor—and the fun.

Drop us a line through our contact form  or give us a call.  The earlier the better—we get booked fast. Tacos wait for no one.

Do you serve alcohol?

Tacos without beer?? Never.

  • Beer: We stock seasonal cans and bottles.

Did you hear a rumor that we have “margaritas in a pouch”? Totally real—and perfect for pre-gaming or couch sessions.

  • In-house margaritas: Draft at the bar or grab a boxed to-go margarita (lime or strawberry) if you want the party to come home with you.

How does ordering work?

We’re a counter-service spot, which means no reservations, no waitlist—just walk up, order at the counter, and grab a seat.

We’ll call your name when your food’s ready. It’s casual, it’s fast, and it gives you more time to vibe out, sip a drink, and stare lovingly at your tacos.

Need something after you order? Just come back up—we’re friendly. Mostly.

Do you offer delivery?

We don’t deliver ourselves—but yes, you can get Tinga shipped right to you via DoorDash, Grubhub, and ezCater (for catering orders over $100).

Just open your preferred app, search “Tinga Tacos Springfield MO,” place your order, and wait for tacos to arrive at your door. No need to leave your sweatpants.

Do you have outdoor seating?

We do! Well, kind of…it seats four guests. Our sidewalk table & chairs are open to you when the weather’s playing nice, and it’s the perfect spot to taco, chill, people-watch, or just avoid eye contact with your coworkers on their lunch break.

No seats left outside? No problem. Go one block down the street to 300 South Avenue, where the Downtown Pocket Park has ample seating for you!

And yes—it’s all pet-friendly. Bring your dog, hang out, enjoy the sunshine. Want to bring your cat? Technically allowed… but don’t say we didn’t warn you.

What’s your most popular taco?

That’s like picking a favorite child—but favorites definitely include the Tri-Tip Tacos, the Tinga Taco, and the Crusher Taco (that’s our classic ground beef, and yes, it crushes).

But honestly? Our top taco changes all the time—depends on the season, your mood, and how brave you’re feeling with hot sauce.

Can I build my own taco?

Absolutely! Pick your shell, pick your protein, load it up with toppings. Want to keep it basic? Go for it. Want to put cheesy corn, mango habanero sauce, and pickled carrots & onions on one taco? No one’s stopping you.

Or skip the shell entirely—make it a nacho pile or throw it in a bowl and pretend you’re being healthy. We support all forms of taco expression.

Just don’t ask us to pick for you—we’ve seen friendships end over that.

Where do your taco ideas come from?

A beautiful mix of late-night hunger, weird dreams, and chef inspiration.

We like to keep it weird, bold, and totally un-boring. Some of our tacos are inspired by classics. Others? Total experiments that (thankfully) worked.

Do you rotate your menu or have specials?

Yep—we’ve got lunch specials every day from 11 am-2 pm, Taco Thursday specials, and late night weekend specials. Watch our social pages for limited-time features, one-off creations, or “we just felt like trying this” taco drops.

And if something disappears for a while, don’t panic—we’re probably just giving it a nap. Or prepping something even wilder.

Are you locally owned?

Yes—100% Springfield, family & friend-owned local. No franchises, no big chains behind the curtain. Just local owners, local staff, and a taco obsession that got wildly out of hand (in the best way).

Do you take cash? Apple Pay? Magic beans?

We take cash, cards, Apple Pay, Samsung Pay, and most forms of modern currency—digital or otherwise.

If it goes beep and pays for tacos, you’re good.
If it’s a goat, we’re gonna need to talk.
If it came from your Monopoly game—yeah, that’s a no.

Do you sell gift cards?

Absolutely. Give the gift of tacos—it’s cheaper than therapy and way more delicious.

You can grab a gift card in-store or online. Perfect for birthdays, thank-yous, bribes, or “sorry I ate the last taco” situations.

What’s your price range?

Most of our tacos are around $3–$5 each, depending on what you pile on. Add chips, queso, drinks, or margaritas-in-a-box and you’re still eating well without wrecking your wallet.

Whether you’re ballin’ on a budget or going full feast mode, we’ve got options. Just don’t ask us to do the math—that’s what your receipt is for.

Can I bring a big group?

Maybe! Seating is limited and it’s all walk-up, so we don’t reserve tables or seat you like a traditional restaurant. That said—we do have a few bigger tables that can seat up to 10, but they’re first come, first served.

Got a big crew? Call ahead or ask about our catering. We’ll give you the lowdown.

Do you offer free chips and salsa?

Nope. We love you, but we don’t do the free chips and salsa basket thing.

Our chips are house-fried —so they’re crispy and absolutely worth the couple bucks. Want salsa? We’ve got options. Want queso or guac? Even better.

We’re not in the business of filler. We’re in the business of tacos that crush.
